Greyhound Adoption of Greater Rochester, NY, is a racing neutral non-profit 501(C)(3)
all volunteer organization. We believe every greyhound retired from racing deserves
the chance for a real home and loving family.
- Buffalo Greyhound Adoption: An
all volunteer, member, non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the
qualities of the ex-racing greyhound and finding responsible homes for greyhounds after
their racing careers.

League: Founded in 1953, the Animal Service League is an all-volunteer organization
concerned with the rescue, care and welfare of homeless domestic animals in the
Rochester

volunteers, dedicated to raising public awareness about the ex-racing
Greyhound.
- Long Island GreyHound
Transfer: The first Long Island based 501 (C3) non-profit, all-volunteer run
GreyHound rescue organization.
East Coast
- Greyhound Friends, Inc: A small
non-profit organization located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, dedicated to saving racetrack
greyhounds and placing them in responsible, loving homes.
- NJ Greyhound Adoption
Program: NJGAP is a volunteer, non-profit organization which is recognized by
the New Jersey State Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program.
- First State Greyhound Rescue:
A non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and
adoption of ex-racing Greyhound dogs. We place greyhounds in homes around the
tri-state area of Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
- Keystone Greyhounds: Part
of Greyhound Pets of America, Inc, a national non-profit organization dedicated to
finding responsible homes for retired racing greyhounds.
- Greyhound Pets of America/
Maryland: An all volunteer organization founded in 1985 by Betty Rosen and dedicated to
finding responsible, loving homes for retired greyhounds and younger dogs that can't make
the grade at various tracks throughout the country—resulting in an early
retirement.
- Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue,
Inc.: A 501(c)(3), non-profit, racing-neutral all-volunteer organization that works to
place retired racing greyhounds into loving, life-long homes.
- Greyhound Rescue of N. E.,
Inc.: An all-volunteer group whose mission is to create opportunities to network with
the greyhound community and raise awareness of the Greyhound as a companion animal.
Midwest
- Almost Heaven Greyhound
Adoption: A non-profit corporation founded to educate the general public about
greyhounds as pets, find loving and qualified home for retired racing greyhounds, and offer
ongoing support to anyone who adopts a greyhound.
- Lake Erie Greyhound Rescue:
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, incorporated in 1996 and operating mainly out of
northeast Ohio, which promotes and facilitates the adoption of greyhounds at the end of
their racing careers and educates the public about greyhounds as wonderful companions.
- Greyhound Pets of
America/Nashville: An all-volunteer organization that finds loving, appropriate homes
in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky for retired racing greyhounds.
- Heartland
Greyhound Adoption: A volunteer not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, formed and
operating in central Iowa to promote the adoption of retired racing greyhounds.
- Renewed Life for Greyhounds:
Founded in 1998 in Holland, Michigan by a group of
volunteers whose passion was to find loving homes for retired racing greyhounds.
- TLC Greyhound
Adoption: Started in 1996 by Deb Sanford and her sister,
Sheryl Werner.
West Coast
- Colorado Greyhound
Adoption: A non-profit organization 501(c)3 devoted to
placement and adoption
of greyhounds.
- Greyhound Rescue of
Idaho: Dedicated to educating the public about the plight
of the racing greyhound, their suitability as companion animals, and finding
permanent homes for those lucky enough to enter the rescue community.
- Wine Country Greyhound
Adoption: An all volunteer, non-profit organization dedictation to finding caring,
permanent homes for retired racing greyhounds and providing support and guidance for those
who adopt a greyhound. WCGA participates in local events, frequently dubbed “Meet and
Greets”, as an opportunity for the public to personally meet and interact with a greyhound
and receive answers to questions regarding greyhounds.
- Greyhound Pets of
America/Greater Northwest:Dedicated to the adoption of retired racing greyhounds. GPA
Greater Northwest Inc., serves Idaho, Washington, Montana, British Columbia & Alberta
Canada.
- Halfway Home Greyhound
Adoption: A unique adoption team formed in the spring of 2002 to facilitate the
placement of grehounds that do not have access to track adoption programs in finding their
forever homes. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers motivated by our love of the
breed and respect for the farms' commitment to the dogs.

501 c3 organization dedicated to the care and placement of the
retired racing greyhound.
- Colorado Greyhound
Adoption: A non-profit organization 501(c)3 devoted to placement and
adoption of
greyhounds.

501(c)(3)charitable organization that was established by Lorri & Gary Tracy in 1985.

An eclectic group of dedicated volunteers with numerous years of experience
with greyhounds. We are dedicated to finding loving home for retired racers in San Diego
County, California.
